TAS Aviation is located at the Defiance Memorial Airport (DFI)

airport

TAS Aviation was formed in December 1976. Basic services were fuel, maintenance and flight training.

In 1978, TAS received a 135 operators certificate. We helped develop and implement the Northwest Ohio Air Network to move bank check work to the Cleveland Federal Reserve Bank. This network is still in operation today. Also, TAS expanded its service by adding charter service for local companies, and backing up other Federal Reserve Bank air networks in the area.

In 1986, TAS was awarded a Federal Reserve Bank ITS Red Zone Interconnect Route. This required operating and maintaining 8 airplanes on a nightly basis.

In 1988 (after 2 successful years of operating 310 aircraft), we were introduced to an owners' club called '310 Owners of America'. Based on our knowledge and experience with the 310 airplane we became affiliated with the club as technical advisors. The club is now known as 'The Twin Cessna Flyer'.

Due to our reputation as "Twin Cessna Specialists," TAS began promoting our expertise via the publication Twin Cessna Flyer.

At this time TAS Aviation, Inc. maintains approximately 100 twin Cessna aircraft per year, along with the maintenance of aircraft on the field. Thank you for your interest in TAS! Please call, fax, or e-mail us today.
